Breast feeding is best for babies. SMA GOLD is intended to replace breast milk when mothers do not breast feed. Professional advice should be followed on the need for and proper method of use of infant milk and on all matters of infant feeding.

Good dental hygiene is as important for babies and toddlers as it is for older children and adults. Prolonged or frequent contact of drinks or feeds with the teeth, e.g. from using bottles or beakers as comforters, increases the risk of tooth decay. Use a cup or beaker by 6 months if possible and in any case as soon as the first tooth appears. In accordance with normal dental hygiene, your baby's teeth should be cleaned after the last feed at night. Ask your Health Professional or Dentist for advice. Never leave your baby alone during feeding.
