CYMALON

Cymalon contains alkaline ingredients equivalent to 1g of Sodium per sachet to help neutralise urine acidity during cystitis infection in women, so reducing stinging and burning.

For the relief of symptoms of cystitis in women.

Cymalon brings relief from the burning pain of cystitis by reducing the acidity of your urine. It also helps prevent most infecting bacteria from growing in the bladder and urinary tract.

How do I know if I have Cystitis?

The two most common symptoms are a burning sensation when you pass water, and a need to go to the toilet very frequently, even though you may have very little urine to pass. Other symptoms to look out for are darker urine than normal, possibly streaked with blood, a sick feeling and a general pain in your lower abdomen.

Remember, the sooner you treat the problem, the quicker the pain and discomfort will ease.

Before using Cymalon

The following information should be read before using this product :-

Do not use Cymalon if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed.

Make sure Cymalon is suitable for you to use - ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Cymalon should only be taken by women. Do not give to children or men.

Do not take this product if you have heart disease.

Do not take this product if you have had any kidney diseases.

Do not take this product if you have high blood pressure, or are on a low salt diet - if in doubt consult your doctor.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Cystitis and how it is caused :

Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder lining. Although there are several possible causes of cystitis the main ones are bacterial infection and bruising during sexual intercourse. To help prevent a further attack, you should :-

Remember to wipe from the front to the back when you go to the toilet.

Avoid perfumed soaps and bubble baths

Try not to wear very tight underwear or jeans

Although it will not prevent an attack, it is helpful to start treatment with Cymalon as soon as you recognise the symptoms.

Other ways to help relieve the symptoms of Cystitis :

Drink lots of water or bland, non-acidic liquids like milk or weak tea. Try to drink around fived pints a day during your 48 hour treatment, if possible and suitable.

Avoid liquids such as alcohol, coffee, strong tea or fruit juices.

Pass water as often as you need to - it produces a 'flushing through' effect which helps your natural defences - Keep warm.

Precautions :

If your symptoms persist, or return soon after you have completed the 48 hour treatment, consult your doctor, as you may need antibiotics if you have an infection.

This product has been given a shelf life of three years. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the label
