Sinutab tablets are used to relieve headache, sinus and facial pain, nasal and sinus congestion and and reduce fever when these are brought about by sinusitis, hay fever, colds or influenza (flu).
Drug Interaction Precautions :
Sinutab tablets are suitable for most people, but a few people should not take them. Ask yourself the following questions to check whether Sinutab is suitable for you:
*Have you ever had a reaction to Sinutab tablets or any of their ingredients, including lactose?
*Are you pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breast feeding?
*Have you taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressnats in the last two weeks?
*Are you taking any other medicines, especialy barbiturates?
*Do you suffer from liver or kidney disese?
*Do you suffer from high blood pressure or problems with your heart?
*Do you suffer from thyroid disease?
*Do you suffer from prostate disease, diabetes (high blood sugar) or glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Sinutab tablets.
*Whilst taking Sinutab, do not take any other paracetamol containing products.
Side effects are not common with Sinutab and when they occur they are usually mild.
*Sinutab tablets may cause axiety, agitation or changes to your heartbeat.
*Sinutab tablets may upset your stomach or cause difficulty in passing urine.
*Sinutab tablets may cause a rash.
*Rarely, Sinutab tablets may cause hallucinations, high blood pressure, sleep disturbances, headache, or shakiness. There have been a few reports of blood disorders but these were not necessarily caused by Sinutab.
If you get these, or any unusual effects, stop taking and tell your doctor or pharmacist.
