LOADING YOUR DOSETT
Dosett will store one week's supply of most tablets and capsules taken by mouth (DOSETT is not suitable for suppositories, liquids or creams), up to 4 times per day. To load, open the 7 sliding lids.
Following the dosing instructions for your medicines, place the tablets, one at a time, in the correct compartment for each day and time of day. It is practical to work with one medicine at a time. Close the sliding lids firmly (with a snap). If you need help to load your DOSETT, ask your nurse, doctor or pharmacist. The medication schedule in the back of DOSETT can be used for important information about your medicines. Make it a habit to take your DOSETT with you when you visit your doctor or pharmacist; it makes their work easier.
TAKING YOUR MEDICINES
Slide out the lid to uncover the compartment to be used. Remove the tablets by turning DOSETT upside down. (If a previous, now uncovered, compartment is not empty, cover it with a finger to prevent its contents from falling out.) Make sure that the compartment is empty before the lid is closed again.
REPLACEMENTS
To replace the medication schedule or the medicine tray (normally available from where you purchased your DOSETT), open the sliding lid on the side (while pressing the safety button if necessary). When reassembling, the tray should slide easily into position. If not, it has probably been entered wrong end first and must be tumed around. Do not use force.
CLEANING
Remove all the sliding lids (using mild force if necessary), the medicine tray and the medication shchedule. Hand wash (no machine-wash!) the parts in soapy, lukewarm water. Let dry.
CHILD SAFETY LOCK (if included):
The safety lock is designed to delay access to DOSSET by small children by locking all the sliding lids, including the one on the side. To assemble, open all sliding lids (incl. the one on the side) slightly. Push the locking device into position (Fig 1) and hold it there while closing the lids (with a snap). Now the sliding lids can be released only when the safety button is being pressed (Fig. 2) If not needed, the locking device can easily be removed again.
IMPORTANT
The lock does not make DOSETT totally childproof. Always keep in a safe place - away from children and other unauthorised users.
